For those who have looked to my blog in the past, thank you. To anyone new to my blog, welcome. In the words of my kids’ generation, “It’s been a minute” since my last post. When I changed employers for the first time in over 20 years, I needed to take some time to find my footing with my new employer, and to be honest, detox from my old life.
The transition from Acumatica customer to ISV developer was dramatic in many ways. To be honest, much of it was the complete opposite of what I expected. I expected my life to become even more hectic and the “pressure cooker” to be more intense. It wasn’t. I expected to be grinding away late night most days. I didn’t. I expected to have a lot to learn about the company and ISV solution. Well, that was true, and I continue to learn. Things certainly changed for me, but looking back at where I was at the time of my last post, I am thankful for the opportunity to join my new team and the blessings that come with my daily interactions.
Now that the past is in my rear view mirror, it is time to look to the future of my blog site and begin posting again. I have a few posts that even I found useful over the past few months, reminding me why I started the blog. It was intended to be my personal notebook of things I learn, and hopefully a useful tool for others as well.
A lot has happened in the past few months, and I hope to share some of the things I learned in future posts. For now, I am headed to Acumatica Summit 2025. I will be meeting old friends at the annual hackathon that starts tomorrow, and I look forward to competing with my new boss on the team. I also look forward to making new friends, so I hope to see you there. If you have a chance, stop by booth #220 (Paya, a nuvei company) to say, “Hi!”
